Blender Add-on

Spock

Flood any surface with dense, organized sci-fi detail. Spock packs greebles, nurnies, panels, and vents across your model with real rectangle-packing algorithms — tightly fitted, never random.

What it does

Detail that packs itself.

Point Spock at a collection of parts, pick an algorithm, and hit pack. It fits as many parts as the surface holds — non-overlapping, gap-minimized, and fully under your control.

01

Algorithmic packing

Real 2D rectangle-packing — MaxRects, Skyline, and sorted variants — fits parts tightly across target faces instead of scattering them at random.

02

Make your own DPACKs

Build custom DPACK libraries from your own parts, then populate any design with them. Bundled packs — EMPTY, SCIFI, and Bendable — ship ready to go, and your own drop in right alongside them.

03

Per-set control

Tag each collection as instances, hero, empty, or fill. Tune factor, margin, scale range, rotation, and a global density slider for precise art direction.

// spock.dpacks

Reusable, parametric, repeatable.

Spock treats your detailing setups as first-class assets. Save named sets, reload them, and reuse DPack libraries across every project — so a layout you tuned once is yours forever.

  • Save, reload, toggle, and remove named collection sets
  • Swap bundled or custom DPack libraries on demand
  • User-configurable custom DPack master folder
// spock.realize

Built for power users, not toys.

Designed for hard-surface artists who want control where it counts. A lab for packing algorithms — self-contained, with its own asset packs and Python stack installed on first run.

  • PACK, CLEAR, and REALIZE instances into real geometry
  • Per-container instance limits keep heavy scenes responsive
  • Bundles its own asset packs and dependencies inside Blender

Dense detail. One click.

Turn a plain shape into a hyper-detailed sci-fi surface — organized, non-overlapping, and entirely art-directable.
