Blender Add-on

Flex 2

Turn flat grayscale height maps and tileable atlases into raised 3D sci-fi greeble relief. Built for hard-surface artists who want dense hull detail in a few clicks — without leaving Blender.

What it does

Detail, two ways.

Apply geometry-node generators for real instanced greeble, or bake texture and displacement maps from the same generators — all in one N-panel.

01

Generator greeble

Drop a generator onto faces or an object and dense vents, pipes, and panel-line detail populate the surface. Make Real + Apply bakes it into editable mesh.

02

Built-in map pipeline

Generate texture and displacement maps inside the addon — no separate .blend to open. An orthographic map scene renders clean output on EEVEE.

03

Name-driven content

DPACKs and generators auto-wire by naming convention, so top and bottom collections and materials snap into place with minimal node wrangling.

// flex-2.geometry

Real geometry, on demand.

Apply a generator to selected faces from object or edit mode, then realize the instances into mesh you can edit, export, and refine like any other model.

  • Apply generators from object or edit mode
  • Make Real + Apply for editable mesh
  • Auto-bound top and bottom collections and materials
// flex-2.maps

Maps you can reuse anywhere.

Render texture and 16-bit displacement maps at up to 8K with correct color management, then reuse them as displacement or texture on any surface in your project.

  • 16-bit EXR displacement and 8-bit PNG textures
  • Resolution presets from 1K to 8K
  • Standard color management for accurate height

Build the hull. Bake the detail.

Purpose-built for sci-fi and hard-surface artists who want dense greeble and reusable maps generated where they already work.
